On 14 April 2020, the CFTC unanimously approved a proposed rule amending Part 190 (Bankruptcy Rules). Comments on the proposed rule are due by 13 July 2020. This webinar on Thursday, 4 June 2020 discussed this proposed rule. Specifically, presenters provided an overview of Part 190 generally, as well as certain of the major themes of the proposed revisions, with a focus on (i) issues of counterparty risk in the clearing chain and (ii) compliance requirements such as focus on risk management and capital treatment issues in a domestic and cross-border context.
