He is the founder of Campbell & Co., one of the largest commodity trading advisors in the world with more than $9 billion under management. Since he started the company in 1972, he has led the way in building acceptance for managed futures among institutional investors by combining attractive levels of return with a disciplined approach to trading and a continuous commitment to research. He was among the first to get a public fund up and running and set an outstanding example for the industry with his integrity and honesty and his commitment to educating customers. In his spare time, he heads the Campbell Foundation for the Environment, a non-profit corporation dedicated to finding solutions to the environmental problems facing the Chesapeake Bay.
