Bob Felker has been a champion of common clearing to reduce risk for member firms and their clients. He was a long-time member of the FIA board and served as FIA chairman from 2001 to 2002. He founded First Chicago Futures in 1982 and guided the futures commission merchant through several mergers, first with Bank One, then J.P. Morgan. Currently, he is the chairman of JPMorgan Futures. He is a director of the National Futures Association and a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s financial markets and payment system working group. He also has served as chairman of the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation and was instrumental in changing the governance structure to reflect the weight of each firm’s capital commitment.
