Marcy Engel’s breadth of knowledge reaches across the financial services markets. When he legal certainty of over-the-counter products was challenged, Engel was highly effective spokesperson for the markets in every venue: regulatory, legislative and in the courts. As a former managing director at Salomon Brothers, she advised sales and trading personnel on a wide range of legal issues related to fixed income, equity and derivatives transactions. She ha served as president of the FIA’s Law and Compliance Division and as a member of the board of the FIA and was active and chaired many Securities Industry Association committees as well. She also is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s and American Bar Association’s Committee on Regulation of Futures and Derivatives. She joined Salomon in 1987 after three years at Sullivan & Cromwell. She is currently general counsel and one of eight partners at Eton Park, one of the largest hedge funds created in the last 15 years.
