On Nov. 17, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission published market integrity rules which create a consolidated set of market integrity rules for futures markets and securities markets. The four rulebooks include the ASIC Market Integrity Rules (Futures Markets) 2017, which apply to activities and conduct on the ASX 24 and FEX futures markets., and the ASIC Market Integrity Rules (Futures Markets – Capital) 2017, which set out capital and reporting requirements for participants of the futures markets. ASIC has also clarified obligations for responsible executives, dealing as principal, block trades and large portfolio trades and record keeping requirements for market operators.
