Join us on Thursday, May 28 for a virtual fireside chat with special guest James McDonald, Director of the CFTC Division of Enforcement. On May 20, the Division of Enforcement issued updated guidance – the first since 1994 - outlining factors it will consider in recommending civil monetary penalties (CMPs) in CFTC enforcement actions. During this special fireside chat, we will highlight the changes in the updated civil monetary penalty guidance, why these updates were a priority for the Commission, and learn how it may impact market participants. There will also be an opportunity for participants to submit questions about the updated guidance as well as the CFTC’s ongoing enforcement priorities.
