Washington update: a briefing on the transition to a new administration and a new Congress

22 November 2016

By

The election of Donald Trump as the next U.S. President and the new Congressional makeup will lead to significant changes in the policymaking landscape in Washington, with a new approach to financial market regulation as well as new leadership at regulatory agencies such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

To help FIA members assess the potential impact of these changes, FIA will hold a webinar to brief members on the transition to a new administration and its impact on CFTC leadership, the status of pending CFTC rulemakings, and changes in Congress that will impact the listed and cleared derivatives markets.

Presenters:

Jackie Mesa, Senior Vice President of Global Policy, FIA and Dawn Stump, Founder, Stump Strategic
