This webinar is intended to introduce the new capital requirements regime for investment firms in the EU under the Investment Firm Regulation (IFR) and Directive (IFD). It will focus on the new classification criteria of investment firms for IFR/IFD purposes and the impact on capital requirements for in-scope firms, including specific impacts for the cleared derivatives. The webinar will also briefly cover changes to the MiFIR equivalence regime for third-country firms, which were introduced via IFR. Finally, we will look at timing for implementation of the various IFR/D requirements and assess a potential impact of Brexit.
