In October 2012, a hurricane-force storm disrupted power and transportation infrastructure in the greater New York metropolitan area. FIA conducted a survey of its members on the impact of the storm on participants in the futures markets, including clearing firms, exchanges, and service providers. The survey covered business continuity preparedness, supply chain disruptions, response and recovery. The results were shared with member firms and used as the basis for improving business continuity procedures.
