Role in derivatives markets: Founded in 2018 in New York, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm and FINRA-registered broker-dealer offering clearing, custody, execution, and financing for US equities and options and clearing, custody, and financing for fixed-income securities. In 2023, Clear Street launched an investment banking business, which delivers equity and debt capital markets, M&A advisory, and corporate access. It also acquired React Consulting Services (now renamed Clear Street Technology) and its proprietary cloud-native futures clearing platform, BASIS, with plans to launch a futures clearing broker. Clear Street received Futures Commission Merchant approval from the NFA in December 2023. Clear Street Technology, which provides products and services to a wide range of clients, was previously an FIA member. This membership is for both entities.
