The 2016 FIA Cares Corporate Challenge benefitting the Greater Chicago Food Depository raised a record-breaking total of $41,000, far surpassing the challenge’s fundraising goal of $30,000. Along with FIA, 33 organizations took part in the challenge, which raises funds to help GCFD’s work delivering more than 160,000 meals every day of the week.
The organization that raises the most funds claims a Golden Pig trophy, as well as bragging rights throughout the year. This year, that honor goes to ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago, which raised almost $28,000—94% of the original fundraising goal. ABN AMRO claims the trophy from Rosenthal Collins, which was the top fundraiser in both 2014 and 2015.
The FIA Cares Corporate Challenge is one of many ways FIA’s membership contributes to charitable organizations throughout the year. Through fundraisers at FIA’s flagship conferences and other events, FIA has raised approximately $625,000 in 2016 in support of Futures for Kids and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
