Worldwide volume of exchange-traded derivatives was 2.98 billion contracts in the month of October, down 0.8% from the previous month but up 0.3% from October 2018. On a year-to-date basis, volume in the first ten months of the year was 28.82 billion contracts, up 15.9% from the first ten months of 2018. Total open interest at the end of October was 994.1 million contracts, up 4.7% from a year ago.
