Worldwide volume of exchange-traded derivatives was 4.65 billion contracts in the month of January, up 0.4% from the previous month and up 43% from January 2020. This was the highest amount ever recorded for any month, beating the previous mark set in December 2020.
Total open interest at the end of January was 987.3 million contracts, down 1.4% from the previous month but up 10.1% from a year ago.
