Worldwide volume of exchange-traded derivatives was 2.82 billion contracts in the month of December, down 0.4% from the previous month but up 5.8% from December 2018.
On an annual basis, volume in 2019 was 34.47 billion contracts, up 13.7% from 2018. Total open interest at the end of December was 900.1 million contracts, up 8.8% from a year ago.
