The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Vice President of Business Development and the Business Development Manager by maintaining lead list data including individual person records as well as company records, datamining for new leads and generating sales promotion emails.
Supervision
The Business Development Coordinator position is based in our Washington DC office, reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, who is based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
Administrative support
Regular sales updates in Salesforce, Aptify and excel files including:
Contact management
Company management
Sales tracking
Sales follow-up tracking
Write copy for a variety of business development sales emails
Set up mail merge files including emails and lists from excel and databases
Editing promotional material for Business Development team
Participate in sales calls as needed
Sponsorship and Exhibit Sales Tool (eShow)
Sponsor and Exhibitor menu set-up and maintenance
Confirmed contracts, company and contact information maintenance
New Lead Generation and Research
Datamining various conferences/events for leads
Market research and information gathering
Key Skills
Needed
Proficient in excel
Ability to respond and work quickly, `with a high level of accuracy
Excellent time-management skills
Be detail-oriented
Ability to write concise, eloquent, and accurate copy
Strong customer service skills
Preferred
Proficient in Salesforce
Sales forecasting and tracking experience
Comfortable working with large sets of data
