Following the success of the inaugural conference in September 2014, FIA Europe is pleased to announce the date for its next Clearing In a Day one day conference.
Central clearing of derivatives transactions has been at the forefront of the reform of financial markets globally since the G20 commitments were announced after the 2009 Pittsburg summit. Much has been implemented since then but much work continues to take place in order to achieve those G20 goals of establishing safer, secure and transparent markets, with clearing central to that quest.
Today, everybody needs to understand the role of clearing in the transaction chain. FIA Europe’s Clearing In a Day – an introduction to derivatives clearing - will provide essential insight for anyone involved in this area of the derivatives market, whether in an operations, compliance, legal, regulatory or other capacity, on the sell side as well as the buy side. If you have staff who need to get to grips with clearing, this event will deliver an invaluable overview.
- An introduction to listed derivatives execution and clearing; OTC clearing; commodities clearing
- EMIR and the new requirements for segregation and portability
- MiFID II/MiFIR and new obligations for clearing
- Capital, client money and other related issues
Presentations will be given by leading industry experts.
