FIA in Europe maintains a library of legal opinions for regulatory capital and accounting purposes. The opinions range from netting, collateral and CCP opinions to CRR Article 305 opinions and IAS 32 opinions. We have recently updated a number of jurisdictional netting and collateral opinions and this briefing will focus on the scope and structure of the various FIA opinions, with particular focus on the netting and collateral opinions that were recently updated using new netting and collateral opinion templates. The concept of Core Provisions and Non-Material Amendments will be explained. The session will also focus on the FIA plans to obtain supplemental netting opinions to cover the FIA Indirect Clearing Terms.

Join FIA and Clifford Chance for a breakfast briefing on Wednesday, 30 May 2018 to learn more about the FIA legal opinions and FIA plans to maintain them going forward.
