Divisions are a vital component of FIA, giving members the opportunity to discuss common issues, exchange ideas, give input to the FIA board, exchanges and other regulatory and self-regulatory bodies, and network with peers. Division initiatives bring industry professionals together to find solutions for common problems. Any employee of an FIA member firm, regardless of the firm's membership category, is eligible to join a division for a small annual membership fee.
FIA Market Technology Division studies how technological solutions can be used to enhance efficiency in member operations and provides a forum for discussion and knowledge-sharing.
FIA Operations Americas is a newly organized division which was formed from the merger of FIA Chicago and FIA Futures Services in January 2015. The joint division promotes industry cooperation and the exchange of ideas, not only among FIA members in Chicago and New York, but across the Americas.
The Law & Compliance Division monitors legal and regulatory developments affecting the futures and derivatives industry, assisting FIA in providing information to help relevant regulators and courts make decisions that affect the futures exchanges community.
