FSB Consultation on Aggregation of OTC Data

FSB Consultation on Aggregation of OTC Data

28 February 2014 2:00pm EST

FIA Europe has submitted a high-level response to the Financial Stability Board’s consultation paper – ‘Feasibility Study on approaches to aggregate OTC derivatives data’. Our key points: (a) it is premature to analyse how to aggregate trade repository data globally, since the underlying purpose of global aggregation has not yet been defined, and (b) there is a lack of clarity in FSB’s paper about whether ETDs are to be included in aggregation efforts.
