FIA’s Charlie Jones named ASAE Fellow

29 March 2019 3:15pm EDT

Washington, D.C. – FIA’s Senior Vice President of Global Brand Management Charlie Jones was recently named a Fellow by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).  This prestigious award and honor represent less than one percent of ASAE’s membership, which includes 7,300 organizations and 42,000 individuals, and is in recognition of Charlie’s contributions and leadership in the broader association industry and his accomplishments as an association executive. According to ASAE, Fellows are chosen because they demonstrate strategic thinking, visionary leadership, risk taking and an entrepreneurial spirit that establishes innovative programs in their sphere of influence.

“Charlie’s service and participation as an ASAE Fellow will help to support FIA’s mission by connecting and representing FIA and the broader financial services industry to the association community’s network of thought leadership, industry trends and philanthropic endeavors,” said FIA President and CEO Walt Lukken. “This is a great honor and we congratulate Charlie for his hard work and for being recognized by ASAE.”

Said FIA’s Jones: “I’m honored to be joining an extraordinary group of association leaders, and I look forward to the work we will do together to advance our profession.”

The 2019 class of six Fellows join 262 association industry professionals who have received this designation since the program's inception in 1986. Serving as role models and ambassadors for the association community, Fellows serve on boards and committees and participate as speakers, authors, reviewers, and mentors.
